I grew up in a small town not far from Lubbock. I've been eating out in Lubbock since the '70's. Harrigans has always been one of my favorites. Hated when they closed on 50th. If I remember they had a fire. Was thrilled when it opened back up with the original menu and recipes. We popped in on Saturday night. We were seated quickly and our waitress was there shortly after we were seated. We ordered the Sizzling Mushrooms. Yes, they were sizzling when they arrived. There were great. The dark rye bread they bring to the table was wonderful too. I ordered the chicken fried stead and my wife had the Cajun Chicken Penne. I opted for the clam chowder and she chose the prime rib and mushroom soup. They were each fantastic. Of course we were already stuffed when the food came. So we asked for a box and just ate 1/2 and took the rest home. The chicken fried steak is very big and the penne was enough for 2 meal as well. The wait was almost non existent, Hunter was the best waitress in the house and the food, all of it was excellent. We will be back. It was a great experience from start to finish.

My husband and I went there on our one year wedding anniversary. It did NOT disappoint! Great food, service as well as atmosphere. We will be back soon! Thanks Mr. & Mrs. Pride

Our dinner experience started with a wonderful Bavarian dark bread and cinnamon butter. The Starters we chose were a half order of Zucchini Chips and half order of Mozzarella bites. For drinks we had a Chilton, Blue Moon, house Margarita, and water. The Starters were promptly on the table along with our drink order. All was plentiful and quite tasty. Main course consisted of two house salads, Chicken del Mar with rice pilaf, sauteed vegetables and the Mesquite Smoked Prime Rib with the New Orleans potatoes. Dinner was well prepared, flavorful, and delicious. Our server Mia was very helpful and happy to be serving us. She’s great! The experience was very satisfying. I highly recommend!

Start to finish our experience was wonderful. We got there on a Friday night about 7 and expected a wait. We enjoyed drinks in the bar area and were seated before the given wait time. The open view kitchen was great entertainment as we ordered appetizers, dinner and dessert. The staff was excellent, Richelle, the manager, was so kind and personable when she came to visit our table and ensure our experience was going well. Great for a date night. We will be back!

Harrigan's use to be one of my favorite spots growing up. Me and my fam would go eat there every Friday and I was sad when they closed, and for years we never thought that they would open again but thankfully they did. The restraunt is just as good as it was years ago and didn't miss a best. Good was good and thr service was good even with as busy as it was. I will say they do automatic gratuity on larger parties so keep that in mind when you get your bill. Other than that good overall experience.

We had an impromptu birthday dinner for my uncle’s 88 th birthday and made reservations for 15. I called an hour earlier telling the host that there would be more people coming. Probably a total of 20 people. She said that wouldn’t be a problem that we were their only reservation. Turned out to be a total of 29 people showed up. I know this can’t always be the norm, being able to add that many people to a reservation. But they were able to accommodate us. Gavin was our waiter and he had a trainee Blane. They did an awesome job!!! Our food was all great and came out in a timely manner. So, the kitchen did great also! The guys refilled our drinks and brought out a complimentary birthday dessert! This was early on Thursday afternoon. Thanks Harrigan’s crew for making this an extra special 88 th birthday for my uncle and all of our family!

So I had not been to the new Harrigan's. I loved the old one.... Course I left Lubbock in 2006. The charm and atmosphere in my opinion was better than before! The kept all the best treasures like the books, small intimate booths for 2, novel ideas, nice chairs to sit in while waiting, and added better lighting, refurbished tables (same ones), want a special view of the kitchen They got it! Want a private room for a meeting?Look no more! They even nursed the old plants until they opened and brought them into the brighter Harrigan's! Enjoy the pics on the walls, the unique lights and the cork heart. Loved it! The staff were awesome! The cooks great even waved to Jeff making faces at them through the glass.! The food? Enough for 2 meals! I had the chicken fried chicken and Jeff the grilled chicken sandwich. Yum! Oh and of course that wonderful bread! One of the best kept gems in Lubbock! We'll be back! The cost equal to fast food with the extras, so why not treat yourself to a lovely experience instead!
